Partner Spotlight

 Capital Educators Credit Union

We are pleased to spotlight Capital Educators Federal Credit Union (CapEd) as a partner in Be Idle Free Boise!

Opening in 1936 as the Boise Teachers Credit Union, CapEd has expanded their field of membership to include school district employees and school-related group employees. Their membership area now covers the 15 Southwest Idaho counties.

CapEd is very involved with schools and communities. The “Teacher Grant” program awards outstanding teachers with grants to pay for classroom materials, field trips, or other educational needs. CapEd also offers financial education classes to help adults and youth with money matters.

We asked CapEd the reason why they are a partner in Be Idle Free Boise:

“CapEd is so happy to be involved in our communities because we love Idaho and all of its beauty – its scenery and its wonderful people!  We believe in the Be Idle Free Boise.org program because it will help keep Boise’s (and all of Idaho’s) air clean for everyone.  If we all do “small things in a great way” (Mother Teresa), we can keep Idaho as beautiful as it was meant to be!”

We couldn’t have said it better. Thanks CapEd!
